白 水 The Legend of The White Snake 

 

《白水》為臺灣小劇場先鋒田啟元的作品，臨界點劇象錄劇團首演於1993年，首演過後轟動一時，重演不斷，更發展出諸多不同版本，是臺灣劇場經典之作。2014年同黨劇團《白水》全女版在中國杭州首演，2015年進化版則邀請印尼編舞家Agung Gunawan擔任舞蹈動作設計，經典進化，趣味再造！

 

劇情大綱

《白水》提取精髓於傳統故事《白蛇傳》。許仙西湖一遊愛上修練千年的蛇精，法海和尚力勸阻攔，擋的是白蛇掀起慾海濤波，阻的是許仙的癡情妄想，人蛇相戀，難道，有罪?

 

甚麼是門當戶對? 甚麼是殊途同歸? 甚麼是人我異類? 為甚麼要萬念俱灰?

Based on a classical Chinese short story, "The Legend of the White Snake" was originally produced by Critical Point Theater, an experimental theater company, in 1993. In this new production by The Party Theater Group, director An-Chen Chiu has reconceptualized the story from the point of view of the character of the monk Fa-Hai. The beginning of the play finds Fa-Hai sitting alone on stage when he is approached by the characters of the White Snake, Green Snake, and Xu-Xian. To Fa-Hai, they appear like illusions that haunt him over and over again. This production retains the sexual interpretation of the original, but adds the theme of homophobia as presented by the prejudicial morality and justice of Fa-Hai who loathes and acts out against his own homosexuality.
